I'm preparing some work to enter in a show called, Oui: Petite in Scale, Monumental in Impact. Works may not exceed 12 inches on any side, which for me, is a challenge. I like to paint large in flowing strokes. But I'm enjoying this out of my comfort zone task. Here is a sample of what I may or may not enter.
The Sound at Sunset, acrylic, 8" x 10"
Thunder Kitty, Acrylic, 12" x 12"
As you can see I have affinity for cats. My beloved 21-year-old cat crossed the rainbow bridge on Christmas Eve and find it therapeutic to paint and draw cats. I'm not in a hurry to get another, but will after I do some traveling.
Meanwhile, back to painting small.
Happy creating
